Accounting I is a dual-credit class giving students an elective credit at Aquin and 3 college credits from Highland Community College, which is also transferable to other colleges. As long as a student maintains a 'C' during the course they will receive the college credits. The entire Accounting cycle is covered including the general journal, general ledger, chart of accounts, reconciling a bank account, trial balance, worksheet, and financial statements. Students will learn how businesses operate as sole proprietorship or corporations and other facets of the business world. The Glencoe Accounting textbook is along with workbook papers is used in class.
